Sometimes limitations create space for the most unexpected ideas.

In this apartment, we faced limitations in exactly the areas where we usually like to have more freedom. Our clients preferred to keep the existing wall layout unchanged and make only minimal changes to the electrical system - the very parts of a project we love working with to reveal the full potential of a space.

But along the way, these boundaries led us to some unexpected solutions. The electrical limitations couldn’t convince us to give up local lighting - so we introduced table lamps instead of more conventional wall lights and pendants.

The result is a lively apartment filled with rich colour combinations, the clients’ favourite books,

plants and plenty of cosy details.

The sloped ceilings add a special atmosphere to the space without taking away from its sense of height - at the highest point, the ceiling reaches over three metres. A rare feature for an apartment and another detail that makes this interior unique.

A project that reminded us that sometimes limitations don’t stand in the way of good design - they simply point it in a new direction.
